Johnson, Meyer, Billups, Maiga Honored By Rsc In Yearly Awards
Jake Johnson earned RSC First-Team, Colt Meyer earned Second-Team, and Tobey Billups was named Honorable Mention as the RSC Teams were released by the conference Monday afternoon.
Johnson averaged 18.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game. He was also named RSC Player of the Week two times during the season. He finished the season second on the team with 535 total points.
Meyer led the team in points with 548. He averaged 18.9 points, 2.4 rebounds, and 2 assists per game. He scored a season-high 36 points against Crowley's Ridge back on Nov. 27. Meyer was also named the RSC Player of the week back in December. Meyer also earned the conference scholar-athlete award with his GPA being over a 3.50.
Billups earned honorable mention after his freshman campaign. He ran the point for the Red Wolves and averaged 10.9 points, 5.3 assists, and 2.8 rebounds per game.
Sekou Maiga was the Red Wolves representative for the Champion of Character award for the conference.
