IU Southeast Tops Red Wolves

Colt Meyer scored a team-high 15 points and Sekou Maiga added 14 points and 13 rebounds but it wasn't enough as the Red Wolves shot just 33 percent from the floor in the 86-59 loss to IU Southeast.

The Grenadiers led from start to finish with the exception of a 10-10 tie in the beginning stages of the first half. Maiga and Bryce Long hit jumpers to tie after trailing 10-6. IU Southeast would lead the rest of the way.

Trailing by 12, the Red Wolves were able to chip the deficit some heading into halftime. Maiga's dunk started a 7-2 run to close out the first half. Lorenzo Lewis and Meyer also contributed in the run.

The closest the Red Wolves would get in the second half was seven points twice. Both of those came three minutes into the second half.  The Grenadiers forced 18 Red Wolf turnovers in the game while only turning the ball over six times. They shot 50 percent from the field and had four players in double-figures.

IU East will host Midway on senior day Saturday. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. with festivities happening after the game.
