Track & Field: IWU Midwest Classic Recap
The Indiana University East track and field teams completed the weekend in the Indiana Wesleyan University Midwest Classic as the Red Wolves competed in the distance events on Saturday, Feb. 4.
The top finish of the day came from Teagen Rodriguez, Rex Kirkenstein, Chance Klipstine and Braden Coate as they were fifth in the 4,000-meter Distance Medley Relay with a time of 10:33.52 on the Troyer Fieldhouse track.
IU East's men's 1,600-meter relay squad of AJ Ludwig, DeAndre Hall, Erick Gallardo Cortes and Klipstine were sixth with a time of 3:43.22.
In the women's 1,600-meter relay, the team of Anna Johnston, Maylee Young, Hannah Best and Sarah Kwiatkowski had a time of 4:44.84 to finish seventh.
Ludwig posted a time of 1:25:50 to finish eighth in the 800-meter run.
Next up for IU East is the Mount St. Joseph University Invitational on Saturday, Feb. 11.
