Four score double digits in MBB loss

Despite four double digit performances, the Earlham College men's basketball team concluded its non-conference schedule with a 77-65 loss at Berea College on Tuesday.

Tommy Makabu led the Quakers with 16 points, four rebounds, and three assists. James Holder led the squad in rebounds with nine, while also putting up 12 points.

Jaden Terry scored 13 points and brought in five boards, with three assists. Anthony Phillips recorded 12 points, five rebounds, and three steals.

The Quakers shot 42% from the floor in the opening half, and stayed within striking distance with a 38-34 deficit going into the break. The offense struggled in the second half though, with a 31% field goal percentage, and a 1-for-11 line from 3-point range.

Earlham will continue its conference schedule on New Year's Eve in Druley Performance Gym against Franklin College. Tip-off is slated for 1 pm.
