Red Wolves Sweep Brescia
The IU East Red Wolves were able to get another road win in RSC play as they took down Brescia in three, 25-19, 25-16, 25-16.
"Today was their senior day and they were hype and ready to beat us," Teah Barrett Matthews said. "We lost at their place last year and wanted to set the tone to make sure that didn't happen again. We know our standards and did not stray away from them. That is what helped us win tonight."
Senior Emily Hodson added, "Even though with the long bus ride before the game, we came out with energy and a good mentality. Bescia played pretty scrappy and it was hard to put a ball down at times, but we were able to capitalize on any free balls and stick with it in the long rallies. I'm proud of how out team stayed committed to our standards throughout the match and lever let up.
The Red Wolves will return home on Tuesday for 3-straight home games. They will take on IU Southeast on Tuesday starting at 7 p.m. at Lingle Court.
