Women's Golf: Iu East At Tpc Deere Run Invitational Day 1 Recap
The Indiana University East women's golf team survived windy and snowy conditions on the first day of the Tournament Players Club Deere Run Invitational on Oct. 17.
Originally scheduled for 54 holes, the two-day event was changed to 36. All of 20 teams played at least 18 holes with each of the Red Wolves completing five more holes in the second round.
IU East is in 15th after the first round as No. 4 Dalton State University (Ga.) and the University of the Cumberlands (Ky.) are tied for the top spot in a field of nationally ranked squads.
Liv Sanders led the Red Wolves in the opening round with an 88.
Katie Craig was next with a 92, while the other scores were Jalyn Bruns 95, Annie Gillock 96 and Brooklynn Cromwell 97.
The tournament is expected to resume on Tuesday at 11 a.m. (IU East time).
