Women's Soccer: Iu East At Mt. Vernon Nazarene Preview
The Indiana University East women's soccer team opens the 2022 season with a road trip on Saturday, Aug. 20.
The Red Wolves visit Mount Vernon Nazarene University for an evening contest that begins in CH4 Stadium at 7 p.m.
IU East finished 11-7-1 in 2021. It was the fourth straight season with at least 11 victories in the five-year history of the program.
Mount Vernon Nazarene was 8-9-1 last season with a 4-4-1 mark in the Crossroads League.

* The two schools have never played in women's soccer.
* IU East was ranked second in the River States Conference preseason poll behind the University of Rio Grande.
* Kimberly Trapp and Sophie Pohlabel were members of the All-RSC First Team last season, while Grace Harris was on the second squad.
* Trapp finished third in the RSC with 27 points as led the Red Wolves with 11 goals and added five assists.
* Senior Ashley Townsend led the Cougars with 23 points on 10 goals and three assists last season as she earned First-Team All-Crossroads League honors.
