Quakers place on all-region teams

On Tuesday, the NCAA All-Region teams were announced among the various organizations involved with intercollegiate sports. This year, the Earlham College baseball team placed two players on the all-region listings.

Andrew Bradley was named to the first team American Baseball Coaches Association, and was named to the third team by d3baseball.com. Pitcher Aidan Talarek tossed his way on to the ABCA third team for NCAA Region Eight.

Bradley led the Quaker bats this season batting as the DH in most lineups. He posted a .369 batting average for the season and recorded 48 hits, 14 doubles, and a new Earlham single-season record of 16 home runs.

Bradley had a slugging percentage of .846 and brought in 49 RBI during the season. He was selected to the HCAC first team all-conference and earned national Hitter of the Week honors after posting five home runs in one evening.

Talarek threw 76.1 innings as part of the Quaker starting rotation, and made 11 starts in 14 appearances. He recorded the lowest ERA among the rotation at 3.89 and scored a team-high eight winning decisions. Talarek threw two complete games and recorded 65 strikeouts this season. His win total ranks third in program history in a season.

The Quakers concluded their 2022 season with a record of 26-13, and earned a trip to the NCAA Regional tournament after winning the HCAC Tournament and earning an automatic qualifying bid.
