The Earlham College track and field team sent three athletes to the Carius/Gregory last chance invitational hosted by North Central College this week.
Connor Del Carmen broke his own school record in the men's 5000 meter run on Thursday. The freshman ran a time of 14.58.54 in the event and came home in sixth place in the meet. Del Carmen led the first lap of the race, and drifted as far back as 14th place at the 1,400 meter mark before working his way back up in the pack. Alex Roberts also competed in the 5k with a finishing time of 16:02.72 and a 22nd place finish.
Elena Stirn ran the 800 meter run on Friday evening after earning all-conference honors in the HCAC Championships last weekend. Stirn recorded a 20th-place finish with her time of 2:28.14.
