The Indiana University East women's tennis team found out that the Red Wolves will face a familiar foe as they are set to compete in their second straight NAIA Women's Tennis National Championship as the 2022 pairings were announced on May 3.
No. 24 seed IU East (11-8) meets No. 9 seed Lindsey Wilson College (21-3) when the tournament opens on May 17 at the Mobile Tennis Center in Mobile, Ala.
The winner of the IU East-Lindsey Wilson match will play in the second round against No. 8 Middle Georgia State University (8-6), which IU East faced in its first national tournament match last season.
The Red Wolves qualified for the national tournament with a 4-2 victory over Oakland City University in the River States Conference Championship last weekend.
Lindsey Wilson was ranked No. 10 in the nation when the Blue Raiders beat IU East 7-0 in Kentucky on March 17.
