Of the 3,994 people living in Berne in 2020, 55.8 percent (2,227) were women and 44.2 percent (1,767) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the EC Indiana News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by 87. In the 65 and over age range, there were 474 females and 274 males.
