Of the 135 people living in Economy in 2019, 51.9 percent (70) were women and 48.1 percent (65) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the EC Indiana News.

Females 18 and over outnumbered males in the same age group by a ratio of 41-to-33. In the 65 and over age range, there were 23 females and 16 males.
